**Fire Safe Community is not directly affiliated with any Federal, State, County, City or local Agencies, HOAs, CSD's, or Non-Profit organizations related to Wildfire Mitigation plans. 

Fire Safe Community provides wildfire mitigation information, guidance, and actionable community plans that are tailored to help your Community excel at your wildfire preparedness, protection, and prevention. Proper Mitigation Actions are necessary for a Community or Neighborhood to be recoginize and/or certified in any State or Federal Community Wildfire Mitigation plans.

Fire Safe Community cannot guarantee that your Neighborhood will meet all the required criteria for any specific recognized State or Federal Community Wildfire Mitigation Plan, as each neighborhood must take the necessary actions to meet the required Mitigation Actions as specified by that Plan. 

Fire Safe Community is not affliated with any Homeowners Insurance Companies, Insurance Agents, or Insurance Brokers.  Fire Safe Community will not interact directly with a homeowners insurance, or the insurance agent, as an insurance policy is a contract between a homeowner and their insurance company.

Fire Safe Community assists homeowners in being better prepared for wildfires, through proper wildfire mitigation efforts, community networking, and evacuation plans.

Fire Safe Community helps homeowners to better understand the insurance savings available for achieving wildfire mitigation levels ranging from Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3.  Addressing these mitigation requirements at a Community level positions neighborhoods to possibly qualify for Community Wildfire programs that may provide additional insurance discounts.

As of 10/1/24 it is mandated in the state of California that insurance companies provide discounts for improved private property Fire Mitigation Clearance, with additional discounts for Participation in Recognized or Certified Community Wild Fire Mitigation Plans as stipulated by Safer From Wildfires.
